In essence, industrial producer prices also stagnated in September. According to the KSH report, the same can be said for the first nine months of the year on an annual basis.
On average, industrial producer prices were 0.9 percent higher in September 2024 than a year earlier, according to data released by the Central Statistical Office.
Domestic sales prices decreased by an average of 0.7 percent in September 2024 compared to September 2023, within which the manufacturing industry, representing 60.0 percent, decreased by 0.4 percent, and the energy industry, which accounted for 38.6 percent (electricity, gas, steam supply, air conditioning) were 2.2 percent lower. Sales prices in the food industry rose by 0.9 percent.
Among the intended groups of sectors, domestically, the energy and further consumption sectors fell by a combined 2.3 percent, while the prices of capital goods producers rose by 4.0 percent and consumer goods producers by 1.9 percent.
Industrial export sales prices were 1.7 percent higher, within which they increased by 1.5 percent in the manufacturing industry, which represented 82.9 percent of the market, and decreased by 1.2 percent in the energy industry, which accounted for 16.7 percent.
Compared to the previous month, domestic sales prices fell by 0.2 percent, export sales prices by 0.6 percent, so industrial producer prices were 0.4 percent lower overall.
It concerns the part of the year so far: domestic sales prices decreased by 2.9 percent, export sales rose by 0.3 percent, so industrial producer prices were overall 0.8 percent lower in January-September 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year.
